Got this reminder from Indie Wed via email... too bad I'm in New York...

"Just a reminder that applications for the 2010 Indie Wed wedding event in Chicago close this Friday, July 31st. We are seeking a range of unique, innovative, edgy, and green designers and performers for the event. Indie Wed will offer attendees a chance to meet with potential vendors but will also include a marketplace where items for their big day can be purchased on the spot. Musicians, DJ's, and fashion shows will also help round out the event.

Applications close July 31st.

You have until this Friday, July 31st to complete your application. If you have already applied, then we look forward to reading over your application. If you started an application, remember that incomplete applications will not be considered, so make sure you have followed all the steps in the application process.

If you are unable to participate but know of others who may be interested, please let them know about our event. We have a lot of exciting things planned for the event including giveaways and demonstrations.

Nobody loves a good chowder more than I do.

When I came across this event "Chowderfest Weekend" on the Jersey Shore in October, I had to share it.



How do I become a Judge in this cookoff anyway?

I'm from New England originally and live on Long Island, New York now. I SUPPOSE you can get good chowder in New Jersey... Wonder what I'm doing in October... Maybe I'll see you there?!

Now I'm hungry. Wish they gave some recipies on their site!
