How did they keep their hair looking so great? And was there sunscreen back then? How come I'm always a "raccoon face" even with modern day Coppertone????

Love that board!
I would love to learn how to surf-- especially if I had a cute surfboard like that! Unfortunately, I live in MN, so I think I may need to hold off on the surf lessons until I'm vacationing somewhere outside the midwest!
I found that regular sunscreen no matter how high the factor just doesn't cut it. I use Badger with 20% Zinc Oxide. It does the job, but it is "pasty" and smells like ointment.
I used to windsurf (long time ago), and am curious how hard it would be to learn riding the waves.
