I think this sweet little raccoon is a reminder to me to wear a higher strength sunblock on my face. (Or a bigger hat!)

I wish I had been this brave to go bare at my wedding. I did the full on LOTS OF MAKEUP TO "SHOW UP IN THE PHOTOS!"

(I actually like the way my makeup came out, but maybe sometimes less can be more!?)

Your Thoughts - Smelly Stuff

OK, I need some advice. I think my allergies have gotten worse over the years. I can't use perfume, my husband hasn't worn after-shave since 1994, and if I use hairspray I have to hold my breath and run out of the room...

But that was the extent of my problem with "smelly stuff."

Now I think I am sensitive to the smells in my shampoo/conditioner, my facial cleanser, and my soap. Have they gotten more smelly over time? Or is it me?

Can anyone recommend COMPLETELY PERFUME FREE products????

Is my scale wrong?

OK, I just wanted to lose about 15 pounds for my sister's wedding. I was well on my way, according to the scale yesterday. I had lost 12! Not bad. How is it possible to gain 5 in the middle of the night?

Maybe I'll lose them again sometime later today!

Please never do a crash diet. I know brides want to look their best, but you need to stay healthy so you can enjoy the big day! I just did a "low carb" thing and completely took away snacks and desserts. (I'll make up for it on July 18th at my sister's wedding reception.) BUFFET HERE I COME!

Listen To Your Mother... (and others) in the shower!

I can think of 3 simple "beauty" tips that I learned long ago...
1. My Mother told me, long ago, to push your cuticles back with a washcloth each time you are in the shower. They won't split or hang anymore and you won't ever have to have them trimmed again.
2. My Husband told me, long ago, to rinse out your hair conditioner BEFORE you wash your back. (Breakouts on your back a problem? No more!)
3. My Friend told me, long ago, not to waste your money on those pumice, exfoliating, lipstick thingys. While washing your face just wipe your lips. Don't scrub too hard. Then don't forget your lips when moisturizing your face.

Last Minute Tips

Is it right before the big day? Here are just a few last minute tips to make your photos look their best...

1. Wear your sunscreen! Sunburns are hard to hide in Wedding Photos.
2. Drink tons of water! Makes for radiant skin.
3. Don't try any new beauty products! You never know how your skin might react.
4. Having a Bridal Massage? Be sure to wash the oils off your body fairly quickly. Could cause breakouts.
5. Having a facial? Don't do it too close to the Wedding Date. They can cause redness in photos and possible unexpected breakouts.
6. Coloring your hair? Can appear brassy if it doesn't have time to "relax."

Most of all..., Enjoy this time with your fiance. Let the honeymoon start early! NO STRESS!!!
