cranky creamsicle + margarita ice pop
1 ounces Orange Liqueur
2 ounces Orange Juice (pulp-free)
Vanilla extract
2 ounces Club Soda
4 tablespoons Vanilla Ice Cream
1 tablespoons 1 teaspoons Cream (15%)
"So maybe you've had a rough week. You're tired and grumpy, and you want nothing more than to curl up in your own self pity watching terrible reruns of The Ghost Whisperer or endless sports highlight reels while eating cheese puffs. While that might seem like the perfect cure for the blues, we've got a better one.
You need to go out! Get a little crazy and laugh off the week's misadventures. Start by cooking up some Broke-Ass Linguine Aglio-Olio, a recipe that's easy on your wallet and pads your stomach for a night of debauchery.
Then, call your best wingman or woman, plan your night out, and mix up our Cranky Creamsicle Cocktail. The nostalgic flavor combination of orange and cream will remind you of simpler times, and the booze will help you forget that those days are long gone!
Directions:
Pour orange Liqueur and orange juice into a glass. Add a tiny dash of vanilla. Stir. Top with club soda and either a dash of cream or a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Again, feel free to play around with the quantities until you get a balance of flavors that suits you.
If you wanted to kick this drink up a notch, you could also add an ounce of vanilla-infused vodka.

The Margarita Ice Pop
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons tequila
2 tablespoons orange liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
Kosher salt, for garnish
PREPARATION
Combine sugar, lime juice, water, lemon juice and orange juice in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Once cool transfer to a blender with tequila, orange liqueur, and lime wedge and process until smooth. Pour into the cups and cover the top of each cup with foil. Place the popsicle stick in center of cup (down through foil, which will hold it in place). Freeze until hard, preferably overnight. Remove from freezer and run cup under warm water to loosen popsicle. Garnish with kosher salt and serve.
Have you ever seen anything so absolutely refreshing???
happy friday everyone!
