Yuck. I just "deleted" my first comment since I started this blog. I am just a simple girl (ok, almost 40), that started a Wedding Planning Website because I love Weddings. I love to help and I enjoy the planning aspect of it.
I don't ask for money. And when I comment on other people's blogs, I make it very clear who I am (I am "enabled" and very visible to bloggers).
So, Just so you know, if you visit my site, it's for informational and fun purposes only. And if I visit your site and leave a comment, it's because I really have something to say or advice to offer. It's not for promotional purposes.
Ick. I feel somewhat violated that this website sought my blog page out to try and just plug their site. I don't know how to stop that, but maybe I should go to viewing all comments before they show up???
Advice anyone?

this can't be a coincidence that i just deleted MY first comment for that VERY SAME reason.
it's really obnoxious. There's nothing you can do but moderate.
I think you should do whatever makes you most comfortable. I'm sorry this commenter has upset you!
I do sound a little hysterical..., I realize that now. There was nothing rude or disgusting about the comment, I should say that. But the fact that when you clicked on their "name" it was "not available for display" that was what got to me.
Well, who are you? And why not show yourself? Don't just plug your site!
(Wouldn't it be funny if it was the best wedding planning site out there and I just insulted them? - yeah, no. i don't think so.)
I had that happen on my site and was very happy to find the delete button. At least there is that wonderful option!
I certainly hope when I talk about photography that it is useful and edifying to couples.
I get those too. I got one when someone just googled any new blogs that talked about painting nails and went into a long diatribe about their product.
Usually I just delete them forver and move on, though the nail one was so funny I had to mock it.
